High Schoolers with ADHD want more freedom to make their own choices and run their own lives, but their parents worry about the choices they will make. This gets even harder when those young adults go off to college and parents have even less awareness and input on what happens. Dr. Ari Tuckman will share his model for helping families set a solid foundation through high school so that everyone feels comfortable with launching this student after graduation. We will discuss how to set expectations and work as a team during college, as well as how to discuss options such as gap years, including taking classes while living at home. We will also discuss how to handle semesters off and how to know that a student is ready to return to college.

Ari Tuckman, Psy.D has given more than 700 presentations and podcast interviews, across America and in nine other countries. He routinely earns excellent reviews for his ability to make complicated information understandable and useful. He is the author of four books on ADHD: “ADHD After Dark: Better Sex Life, Better Relationship”, "Understand Your Brain, Get More Done”, “More Attention, Less Deficit” and “Integrative Treatment for Adult ADHD”.
