Diplomate, American Board of Sleep Medicine - Houston Sleep Center
Dr. Bell has been working in sleep disorders medicine since the early 1980’s. Initially, he worked as a technician in a small sleep laboratory, became registered as a polysomnographic Technologist and subsequently completed a Master’s degree in Counseling. Thereafter, he moved to Chicago, completed a doctorate in Clinical and Health Psychology, became licensed as a psychologist in Indiana and also spent time in New York City preparing for his certification in clinical sleep disorders. He has published research in sleep medicine and recently contributed two chapters to a textbook. His primary clinical and research interests include normal sleep and dreaming, counseling and psychotherapy, and the evaluation and treatment of insomnia and other chronic sleep-wake disorders.

Pat was born in Sacramento, California on September 5,
1944. He was raised in Houston, Texas and attended schools in and graduated from
Galena Park High School in 1963. He married the former Patty LaBauve in 1965.
Pat attended San Jacinto Junior College and Kansas State University in Manhattan
Kansas before graduating from the University of Houston in 1970 after two years
in the United States Army where he earned the Army Commendation Medal for
Meritorious Service.
Pat was awarded a Texas CPA certificate in 1972 and a
Louisiana CPA certificate in 1989. He was former Secretary/Treasurer, and a
Director of Reliance Fleet Services Corp and a shareholder along with Secretary
Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer and a board member of Soil Mate
Corporation.
Pat is the father of three grown children Laura, Kevin, and
Susan. Pat has been an instructor for the Houston Community College System and
the North Harris County College System and has been an ordained Baptist deacon
and sometimes youth Sunday school teacher since 1971. He was formerly President of the Texas Shipbuilding
Association and a member of the AICPA and is involved in the Houston Chapter of
the Texas Society of CPAs.
Pat is active in community organizations including First
Baptist Church of the Woodlands, the Montgomery County CRCG, Directs the
Montgomery County Chapter of Attention Deficit Disorder Association – Southern
Region (ADDA-SR), is Chairman of the Tri-County Mental Health Mental Retardation
Planning Advisory Committee, and a Board member of the Texas Federation of
Families for Children’s Mental Health.
As a director and President of ADDA-SR, he and his wife respond
to the needs
of over 200 families with children affected by Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)
and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). His wife, Patty, is the telephone
liaison for the regional office of ADDA-SR
coaching, counseling, and referring hundreds of of people seeking help for
Attention Deficit Disorders.
Affected children often present with learning disabilities,
anxiety, depression, and are at risk for school failure, emotional difficulties,
and significant negative adult outcome in comparison to peers. Pat has spoken for the Willis Independent School
District, The Annual Conference of ADDA-SR, and B.B. Rice Elementary in the
Conroe Independent School District on ADD and ADHD.
Pat helped start “Destination Dignity” sponsored by
Tri-County MHMR four years ago and has been a frequent speaker and presenter.
Pat and Patty were the recipients of the 2001 Eisenberg Award for service to
the ADHD community.

Robert Weinberger (Ph.D., Clinical Psychology, 1976) is founder, president, sole
shareholder and officer of Weinberger & Associates, P.C. For
the past 25+ years, Dr. Weinberger’s major responsibility to the practice has
been the marketing of the mental health, educational, counseling and substance
abuse services offered by the mental health providers who treat the referrals
generated by Dr. Weinberger’s public speaking/marketing efforts.
In
addition to his major job role as “rainmaker” for the practice, having
consistently generated well over 90% of the clients for all providers (and
physician lessees), Dr. Weinberger has also been responsible for psychotherapy,
initial diagnostic sessions and triage of new clients.

Evan Weinberger is presently
a psychology doctoral student at University of Houston. After completing high
school in Houston in three years, Evan went to Israel to study for a year at
Bar-Ilan University. Upon returning to the States, Evan went on to complete his
undergraduate work at Rhodes College in Memphis, TN.
In addition to school, Evan
is the founder of ‘Staying Ahead of the Game!’ tutoring and coaching. Evan has
enjoyed lots of success enabling students to reach higher levels of achievement,
both in academia and in life, through teaching organizational, time-management,
“anti-procrastination” and study skills.

Dr.
Stokan is trained as a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist. She completed
her medical student education at the University of Texas Medical School -
Houston, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honors
Society. Both her general psychiatry residency program, and her child and
adolescent fellowship were also completed with UT Medical School - Houston.
During her child fellowship, she was awarded a fellowship for additional
training in family therapy techniques.
Dr. Stokan evaluates children, adolescents, and adults with emotional and
behavioral disturbances, and where indicated, provides medication management.
She has a particular interest in early childhood evaluations and intervention.
Because she believes early intervention provides the best prognosis, Dr. Stokan
has a strong dedication to mental health education in families, schools, and
medical communities.
At this time, she is an assistant professor with UT Medical School -
Houston, Department of Child and Adolescent psychiatry, responsible for
educating both medical students and psychiatry residents. She also has a strong
training background in dynamic psychiatry and the integration of
psychotherapeutic techniques with psychopharmacology.
